Oneirology is the fifth studio album by the American hip hop group CunninLynguists, originally set to be released on March 22, 2011, on QN5 Music. The digital download was released earlier on March 15, 2011 in response to heavy bootlegging. The album has all the production handled by the group member Kno, and features guest appearances from Big K.R.I.T., Freddie Gibbs and Tonedeff.
Background
All that was known about Oneirology throughout most of 2010 was the name, but details were finally announced in January 2011 by the hip hop specialized site HipHopDX,[6] followed by the album cover and track listing, respectively. In the official website of QN5 Music, the production was announced, and was just by the member Kno.[7]
The album cover was designed by the Dutch artist Lois van Baarle,[8] according to CunninLynguists official site, and shows a red-haired woman sleeping in a bed, hands catching her sheets.
Singles
The first single was "Stars Shine Brightest (In The Darkest Of Night)", that features Rick Warren and was produced by Kno, and was the first leak of the album.
The second single is "Hard As They Come (Act I)", featuring Freddie Gibbs, written by the group and produced by Kno, and was the second leak of the album.
The third single is "Darkness (Dream On)", featuring Anna Wise of Sonnymoon and was the third leak of the album.
