Operation Majestic

During World War II, Operation Majestic was an alternate plan for the intended Allied invasion of the southernmost Japanese home island of Kyūshū. It was rejected in favor of Operation Olympic (a component of Operation Downfall), but elements of Majestic were incorporated into deception plans such as Pastel.
