Ornithoprion is an extinct genus of eugeneodontid holocephalid closely related to Caseodus. Various species had an elongated lower jaw. The discovery of Ornithoprion helped establish the fact that Helicoprion had its tooth whorl on the lower jaw.[citation needed]
