- Osmerus mordax (Mitchill, 1814)
- Osmerus mordax dentex Steindachner & Kner, 1870 (Arctic rainbow smelt)
- Osmerus mordax mordax (Mitchill, 1814) (Rainbow smelt)
- Osmerus spectrum Cope, 1870 (Pygmy smelt)
