Osvaldo Civirani (19 May 1917 - 20 February 2008) was an Italian director, producer, cinematographer and screenwriter.

Born in Rome, the son of a photographer,[1] Civirani started his career in 1943, as still photographer on the set of Luchino Visconti's Ossessione.[2] After some experiences as cinematographer and assistant director, notably for Federico Fellini, Roberto Rossellini, Alessandro Blasetti and Carlo Lizzani,[2] and after directing the mondo film Sexy proibitissimo,[3] he made his feature film debut in 1964, with the sword-and-sandal film Hercules Against the Sons of the Sun.[2] He directed 20 films of various genre, retiring in 1976.[2]
