Outer Island (Connecticut)

Outer Island, one of the Thimble Islands off Stony Creek, a section of Branford, Connecticut, is maintained by Southern Connecticut State University as an ecological laboratory.
Additionally, the island is one of the units within the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge.
