OverDrive is a sports radio show on TSN 1050 and simulcasted on TSN2 in Canada. It is co-hosted by Bryan Hayes,[1] Jeff O'Neill, who played 12 years in the NHL,[2] and Jamie McLennan,[3] a former NHL goaltender of eleven years.

History

The show was formerly known as Leafs Lunch, which aired from noon until 2:00PM. On February 22, 2016, TSN 1050 introduced a revamped weekday lineup, where Andi Petrillo became host of Leafs Lunch, while Bryan Hayes, Jamie McLennan, and Jeff O'Neill became hosts of the new drive-time program from 4:00-7:00PM.[4]

Format

The show is a sports talk show for all sports, and is primarily Toronto-focused. OverDrive has all three co-hosts from September 5 until July 1, throughout the summer Hayes continues to host with different co-hosts, including Dave Poulin, Gord Miller, Steve Simmons, and Dave Feschuk. [5] The regular show has many segments including the "40/30 Grit Player of the Day", "Future Headlines", "Gerry's Percentages", and "Three Stars".[5] OverDrive is televised on TSN2 for the 6:00PM hour. Ray Ferraro calls in every day at 5:00PM, regular contributors also include Craig Button, Steve Phillips, Darren Dreger, Pierre LeBrun, and Bob McKenzie. [5] When Hayes is away, Scott MacArthur fills in as host.[5]
