The PHP (short for Prvi Hrvatski Pištolj) (MV) was the first major production pistol in Croatia, chambered in the 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge. "Prvi Hrvatski Pištolj" stands for "first Croatian pistol" and was manufactured by IM Metallic.[2][3]

Variants

The MV 17 has a longer 140 mm barrel and somewhat resembles a Walther P38.
