Palpara
Palpara (Bengali: পালপাড়া) is a small village located in Nadia district in the state of West Bengal, India. It comes under Chakdaha municipality and Chakdah police station. The Palpara railway station is 59 km from Sealdah station. Palpara is famous for its 17th century Terracotta Kali temple which is now comes under the supervision of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).[1]
Education
There are two high schools at Palpara. One Secondary School, Palpara Vidyamandir and one H.S School, Bhawanipur Sukanta Vidyaniketan.[2] There is a Law college near Palpara named J.R.S.E.T. College of Law.
Religion
The people are mostly Bengali Hindus, but notable number of Bengali Muslims live here. In the Tomb (Majar) of 'Ajgubitala' both the community Hindu and Muslims visit and pray regularly. Christians are very less in numbers.

Culture
People are peace-loving. Durgapuja, Kali puja, Saraswati puja are widely celebrated. The Muslims celebrate Eid in Palpara.
