Essex Senior League, 3rd

Pegasus Athletic F.C. was a football club based in south Essex, England. They were the founding members of the Essex Senior Football League in 1971. In the 1971–72 season, they finished 3rd place out of 9 clubs. However, in the following season, they resigned from the league after playing only one match, losing 11–1 against Tiptree United on 2 September 1972. Their record was expunged. Pegasus' last ever game came against Barkingside in a 15–2 loss in the FA Amateur Cup on 9 September 1972.[1]
