Ring Road is a road in Peshawar, Pakisan. The road reduces heavy traffic in Peshawar City, facilitates Afghanistan-bound traffic and diverts traffic from the roads in Peshawar including the Peshawar-Charsadda Road, Peshawar-Bara Road, Jamrud-Warsak Road and the Peshawar-Dalazak Road.

2010 reconstruction

At a ceremony in Peshawar on April 27, 2010, Ambassador Anne W. Patterson joined Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti in inaugurating a project to reconstruct 25 kilometres (16 mi) of the Peshawar Southern By-Pass (Ring Road). The U.S.-financed project provided Rs. 2.10 billion ($25,000,000) in upgrades. The U.S ambassador to Pakistan said "The new Ring Road will ease traffic between Charsadda and Hayatabad, improve security, and generate greater trade opportunities for the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas,".[1]
