Phrase Search is a type of search that allows users to search for documents containing an exact sentence or phrase rather than comparing a set of keywords[1] in random order. More recently, phrase search is one of the more important techniques associated with optimizing the textual content of web pages in such a way that it is likely to be found by someone searching for a certain string of text. Phrase Search is also a common term in search engine terminology. The term refers to a specific search syntax which involves using quotation marks (") around a specific phrase to indicate that you want to search for instances of that search query.
