Phu Dorjee

Phu Dorjee was the first Indian to climb the Mt Everest without oxygen in 1984. He had earlier climbed it in 1965. He was awarded Padma Shri in 1965. He died in 1987 in the Kanchanjunga Expedition of Assam Rifles. [1]
