Pierrot is a c.1718-1719 oil on canvas painting by Antoine Watteau, now in the Louvre, to whom it was bequeathed by Louis La Caze in 1869[1]. It was formerly entitled Gilles but is now known to portray the eponymous Commedia dell'Arte character.
