The gliding reptile genus is now Sharovipteryx. The fossil fish genus is now included in Bregmaceros.

Podopteryx is a damselfly genus. It belongs in the subfamily Argiolestinae of the flatwing damselfly family Megapodagrionidae.

The genus contains only two species:[1]
