Parish church in Poznań

Pompeo Ferrari (circa 1660 – 15 May 1736) was an Italian architect, known as the best Baroque artist of Greater Poland.

Biography

He studied in the leading art school of the era – Accademia di San Luca in Rome. Since 1696 he has been living in the court of the king Stanisław Leszczyński in Rydzyna. In 1703 he married Anna Rozyna Eitner, with whom he had several children.

  • Leszno town hall and parish church (1707-1709)

  • shrine in Gostyń (1725-1728)
  • Potocki's chapel in Gniezno cathedral (1727-1729)
  • parish (originally Jesuit) church in Poznań (1727-1732)
