Portulacineae is a suborder of flowering plants in the order Caryophyllales comprising the families Basellaceae, Cactaceae (cacti), Didiereaceae, and Portulacaceae. All three major kinds of succulent plantstem succulents, leaf succulents, and caudiciform plants — are represented within the family.
