Potępa [pɔˈtɛmpa] (German Potempa) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krupski Młyn, within Tarnowskie Góry County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) east of Krupski Młyn, 20 km (12 mi) north-west of Tarnowskie Góry, and 43 km (27 mi) north-west of the regional capital Katowice.

The village has an approximate population of 1,000.
