Protaleuron herbini is a moth of the family Sphingidae. It is known from Ecuador.[2]

The length of the forewings is 37 mm for males and 41 mm for females. It is similar to Protaleuron rhodogaster, but distinguishable by the even forewing outer margin. Furthermore, the discal spot on the forewing upperside is larger and the scattered white scaling is much reduced.
