Proteides mercurius, the mercurial skipper, is a species of dicot skipper in the family of butterflies known as Hesperiidae.[1][2][3][4] It is found in the Caribbean, Central America, North America, and South America.[1]

The MONA or Hodges number for Proteides mercurius is 3868.[5]
