Public Security Work Bulletin (公安工作简报) was a top-secret serial produced by the Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China during the disastrous Great Leap Forward, 1958-1961.[1] The Ministry of Public Security often described China's serious food shortages in the serial, which directly contradicted Mao Zedong's promises of "bountiful economic fruit".[2]
