Puck App is a mobile application that allows hockey players to quickly find and rent a hockey goalie. Founded in 2015 in Toronto, they operate in the majority of major Canadian cities.[1]
History
Puck App was founded in 2016 by Niki Sawni. Niki grew up playing hockey in Toronto and Kingston and realized that there it was a challenge to find goalies for recreation hockey games.[2] Puck is the solution to that problem as it crosses social networking with Uber and allows hockey players to quickly rent a goalie for their game by matching their team with the best available goalie.
In 2017, Puck App expanded to Western Canada and has over 1,000 goalies registered.[3]
