A street view

Pupuhuhta is a suburb (lähiö) in the Kangasvuori district in Jyväskylä, Finland and it's a part of the Huhtasuo ward.[1] Pupuhuhta is located about four kilometers to northeast from the city center.[2] The area contains mostly apartment houses that were built in the late 1970s.[3] Pupuhuhta is one of the most multicultural neighborhoods in Jyväskylä.[4] The population of the area is about 2,200.[5]

The area has a bowling alley, a restaurant Fun Pub, a pizzeria, an elementary school, a family park, a nursery school and an elderly nursing home.[4]

History

During the 1960s and 1970s the cities of Finland needed new apartments and Pupuhuhta was built in a hurry during the late 1970s to fill this need.[3]
