The Queens Park Arts Centre is an independent arts centre and theatre in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England.

Information

Queens Park Centre is based in a former Edwardian primary school and receives no funding from local government. It is the largest independent arts centre in the United Kingdom.[citation needed] It was established in 1980 and was first directed by Malcolm Thackwray through funding by Buckinghamshire County Council. Eventually the Queens Park Centre built the 120 seat Limelight Theatre. In 1998, the Queens Park Theatre became an independent organisation. The centre hosts workshops and over 70 weekly workshops and sessions throughout the week. [1]

Sarah Lewis is the artistic director at the centre. The centre's marketing coordinator / Limelight Theatre manager is Dario Knight. Carlotta Tonello is currently the arts centre administrator.[2]

The centre also houses a coffee bar, whilst the Limelight Theatre includes a licensed bar.

The centre also holds various demonstrations and exhibitions. [3]
