Ralph Motson Thompson (1892–1 July 1916) was an English amateur football outside left who made one appearance in the Football League for Grimsby Town.[1]

Personal life

Thompson served as a private in the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment during the First World War and was killed on the first day of the Somme in 1916.[2] He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.[2]
