Ramamohana Brahmachari was a yoga teacher who lived in a cave in Himalayan mountains near Manasa Sarovar, Tibet along with his wife and three children.[1] He taught more 700 asanas to his pupils including Tirumalai Krishnamacharya of Mysore though he was said to have mastered 7000.[2] Krishnamacharya claimed that he stayed with Ramamohana Brahmachari for seven years in his cave and studied various aspects of yoga, including stopping of pulse and a text called the Yoga Koranta.[1] Ramamohana Brahmachari taught the therapeutic use of yoga.[3] He also taught the yoga sutras.[4]

Ramamohana Brahmachari taught yoga to Krishmacharya up to 1918, when the latter left for his native place Mysore and taught yoga to hundreds of people.[3]
