Ramey Dawoud is a Sudanese American hiphop artist, actor, songwriter, and poet. He is of Nubian descent and his family originates from the ancient Nubian town of Wadi Halfa, Sudan. Ramey's music is known for its lyrics which highlight Sudanese everyday life, Nubia, and the problems the people of Sudan face against the Sudanese government. He is best known for his starring role in the award winning short film Faisal Goes West (2012).
