Ramkrishna Mahabhidyalay [1] established in the year 1950, is the second oldest college of Tripura. It is controlled by Tripura University (A Central University). It is situated at Kailashahar, the headquarters of North Tripura district of Tripura. This college offers honours and degree courses to almost all basic science and social science subjects. Physics honours started in the year 1996. The first batch students secured first rank in the university. Among the notable names of the first batch physics honours students were Dr. Syed Arshad Hussain, who is now assiatant professor of Tripura University.
