Ramuni Minchina Ramudu is a 1975 Telugu, drama film, produced by M. S. Gopinath and N. Bhatkavatsalam under the Rajeswari Fine Arts banner[2] and directed by M. S. Gopinath.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Vanisri in the lead roles,[4] with music composed by T. Chalapathi Rao.[5]
Plot
Ramu (N. T. Rama Rao) is a noble doctor works at Govt Hospital. He always struggles for the well-being of poor people. Once he saves a beautiful girl Lakshmi (Vanisri) from a serious condition. Lakshmi’s father Rayudu (Prabhakar Reddy) is a multi-millionaire. Due to some reasons, Ramu has to resign from his job and decides to move away from that hospital. At that time, Rayudu stops him, establishes a hospital and makes him chief to serve the people. Ramu and Lakshmi fall in love and decided to get married. Rayudu goes to fix their alliance with Ramu’s sister (Pandari Bai), where he accuses her of being a prostitute. Angered Ramu crosses swords with him. But Ramu's sister says that what he claimed is true and she also reveals that Ramu is not her brother, she has just adopted him and begs pardon to Rayudu. Ramu stops her and necks out him. After that Ramu’s sister commits suicide, Lakshmi quarrels with her father and leaves for Ramu but by that time it was too late, depressed Ramu leaves the city.
Ramu joins in the army, during the time of war Ramu gets acquaintance with Major Raghu (N. T. Rama Rao), who looks exactly like him. As Raghu wins the war, the Brigadier (Jaggayya) throws a big party. While everyone is enjoying unknowingly, enemies drop bombs and Raghu dies in that attack, before that he requests Ramu go to his house in his place to save his mother (S. Varalakshmi). Ramu goes into Raghu’s place where he gets shocked to see his lover Lakshmi as Raghu’s wife who married Raghu to fulfill her father’s last wish. Ramu stays away from Lakshmi and protects her fidelity. Meanwhile, Ramu meets a dancer Latha (Srividya), whose mother (Nirmalamma) has been treated by him long back. She has been suffering at the hands of some goons. Ramu protects her and gives her assurance that he will marry her. At the same time, she sees Ramu with Lakshmi and suspects his character but after knowing the truth she understands his greatness. Surprisingly, Raghu returns alive after losing a limb. He gets furious on seeing Ramu and Lakshmi behaving like wife and husband. Raghu goes to kill Ramu. But Lakshmi obstructs his way and tells him about Ramu’s honesty and morality. When Raghu understands the virtue of Ramu, he apologises. But Raghu is afraid to come before his mother because she could not withstand seeing her son as handicapped. Here Ramu and Lakshmi play an accident drama, convinces her and takes her before Raghu. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Ramu and Latha.
