Rawbank

Rawbank is a commercial bank of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The bank was created in 2001 and is based in Kinshasa. As of 2007 the managing directors of the bank are Mr. Thierry Taeymans and Mr. Mustafa Rawji.

Operations

Rawbank offers retail banking and commercial banking services. It offers internet banking, prepaid bank card, debit card and MasterCard credit card services. It is a member of the SWIFT interbank network. As of 2007 it operates branches in Kinshasa, Matadi and Lubumbashi. Rawbank was started by five brothers. Mazhar Rawji is currently the President of Rawbank SARL. Rawbank SARL continues to expand throughout Congo, and plans to go international in the next decade. The company backing the bank is called Groupe Rawji, which is one of Congos leading companies consisting of Mazhar Rawji's brothers, Mushtaque Rawji, Aslam Rawji, and Murtaza Rawji.
