Ready Jet Go! is a CGI animated television series which premiered in the United States as part of the PBS Kids[1] block on February 15, 2016. The series is produced by Wind Dancer Films and Snee Oosh, Inc. in cooperation with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Plot

Jet Propulsion is friends with Mindy, Sean, and Sydney. The Propulsions have an alien identity. They live on Earth, but are not "earthlings". Their car turns into a rocket-ship that goes into space.

Characters

Bortronians

  • Jet Propulsion[2] (voiced by: Ashleigh Ball) is the namesake of the show. He has red hair and can stretch his body, like his parents can.
    • Carrot[3] (also called Mr. Propulsion, indicating the full name Carrot Propulsion, voiced by Kyle Rideout) is Jet's father. His Bortron-7 name is pronounced as the sound of an elephant trumpeting.
    • Celery[4] (also called Mrs. Propulsion, indicating the full name Celery Propulsion, voiced by Meg Roe) is Jet's mother. Her Bortron-7 name is pronounced as the sound of banging, buzzing and clanging.
  • Sunspot[5] (possibly Sunspot Propulsion) is the pet of the Propulsions. He is described as a dog to earthlings not in the know.
  • Face 9000 aka "Face" (voiced by Brian Drummond) is a robot.
  • Uncle Zucchini (voiced by Ian James Corlett) is Celery's brother and Jet's uncle.

Earthlings

  • Amy Mainzer (also called Astronomer Amy) is a real-life scientist who hosts educational interstitial segments at the end of each story.
  • Mindy[6] (full name Mindy Melendez,[7] voiced by Jaeda Lily Miller) is a girl with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
    • Mrs. Melendez (voiced by Meg Roe) is Mindy's mother who is heard calling to her in "More Than One Moon".
  • Sean[8] (Sean Rafferty, voiced by William Ainscough) is a boy with light brown hair and grey eyes.
    • Beep[9][10] is a robot who lives in the Rafferty household.
    • Dr. Rafferty (voiced by Keegan Connor Tracy) is Sean's scientist mother. She and her co-worker appear in "Visit to Mom's Office". She later helps Mindy identify a meteorite.
      • Berg (voiced by Brian Drummond) is a man who works with Dr. Rafferty. They later recur as judges for the baking competition.
  • Sydney[11] (voiced by Dalila Bela) is a girl with black hair and green eyes. She idolizes a character named Commander Cressida who has a dog named Sirius.
  • Mitchell Peterson
    • Mitchell's dad is named Mr. Peterson (voiced by Ian James Corlett) and addresses other males by their last names, calling Mitchell "Peterson" and using "Propulsion" to refer to Jet and Carrot. He is the self-appointed safety officer for the neighborhood.[citation needed]

Others

  • Man in the Moon (voiced by Ashleigh Ball) is someone who is trying to make friends with Queen Venus and King Mars.
