Red Hall (Slovene: Rdeča dvorana) is a sports facility arena in Velenje, Slovenia. It is a home arena of handball club Gorenje Velenje. Its capacities are between 1,500 and 2,500 seats.

History

Red Hall was built on 24 August 1974. At first it was built to host different kinds of fairs and not sports events. However the opinion was that the object is very well constructed and offers excellent conditions to host sports events. Hall had its unofficial opening on 11 October 1975, and an interesting fact to mention is, that its capacity was 4,000 seats but attendance exceeded to 6,000 people on that day.

After some modifications to the object government of RS Slovenia established (25 May 1992) the public company Sports and Recreation Center Red Hall ([Športno-rekreativni center Rdeča dvorana] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help). Sports facility was renovated few times in its history (1989, 1994, 1998 and 2004).
