Rhyscotus rotundatus is an endemic species of armadillo woodlice, a land crustacean isopods of the family Rhyscotidae that lives in the island of São Tomé in São Tomé and Príncipe.[1] It is the only species of the genus Rhyscotus. The genus and the species were described in 1978 by Helmut Schmallfuss and Franco Ferrara.

The genus name is Latin for "being round".
