Richard Andrés Rodríguez Álvez (born 13 July 1992) is a Uruguayan footballer who plays as a midfielder for Costa Rican Liga Primera de Nicaragua club Diriangén FC.

Although capped for the Nicaragua national team, he was later declared ineligible by CONCACAF.[1]

Career

[edit]

Born and raised in Uruguay, he moved to Nicaragua for the first time in early 2018, when he joined Real Estelí FC.[2] After just a season and a half playing for them and shortly after signing for Paraguayan club Deportivo Santaní, he was naturalized by Nicaragua and made his international debut on 5 September 2019.[3]
