Robert Costin

Robert Costin is a British organist, conductor and teacher. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he was organ scholar from 1990 to 1993. His teachers included David Sanger and Nicholas Danby. He moved to New Zealand in 1993, holding organist posts at St Paul's Cathedral, Wellington and Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland, before returning to the United Kingdom as Assistant Director of Music at Blackburn Cathedral. He was a second prizewinner in the Hamilton International Organ Competition in 1994. He was Director of Music at Ardingly College from 2007 to 2015, and has held teaching posts at Worksop College, Bedford School, Highgate School, and St Paul's Cathedral School. He has performed extensively in Europe, Australasia and North America.
