Robert Rooba (born 2 September 1993) is an Estonian professional ice hockey left winger for Hermes in the Finnish Mestis. He in an alternate captain for the Estonia men's national ice hockey team.[1] Rooba's father, Jüri Rooba, was also an ice hockey player and is the current general manager of the national team.
Playing career
Rooba started playing with HC Purikad and Estonia Jr. Team. In 2011, Rooba started his professional career in the SM-liiga with Blues. In January 2016, Rooba agreed to terms with Hermes.[2]
Rooba's international career started at the under-20 level, where he played for Estonia during the 2009 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. In 2010, Rooba played for Estonia at the Ice Hockey World Championships.
