Robert Frederick Tayler (17 March 1836 – 1 January 1888) was an English cricketer. Tayler was a right-handed batsman.

Tayler made his first-class debut for the Gentlemen of Kent against the Gentlemen of Marylebone Cricket Club in August 1865. Later in August Tayler made his first-class debut for Kent against Yorkshire in a County match. Tayler's final first-class appearance for Kent came in the same season against Sussex.

In 1866 Tayler made his joined Hampshire where he represented the county in two first-class matches against Surrey, where Tayler scored his highest first-class score of 42, and against the Marylebone Cricket Club.

Tayler died at Woking, Surrey on 1 January 1888.
