Roger Townshend (Norfolk MP, died 1709)
Roger Townshend (after 1675 – 22 May 1709) was an officer of the British Army.
The younger brother of Charles Townshend, 2nd Viscount Townshend, he was appointed colonel of a newly raised regiment of Foot on 12 April 1706.[1] He also sat in Parliament for Norfolk[2] from 1701 to 1702, and again from 1705 to 1708, and then Yarmouth[3] from 1708 until his death in 1709.
