Roman Rurua (born 25 November 1942) is a former Soviet greco-roman wrestler and Olympic Champion.
He competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City where he won a gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling, the featherweight class.[1] At the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo he won a silver medal. He is four time world champion in 1966, 1967,1969, 1970 years.
