Roman Surman is an American musician and the current lead guitarist for horror punk band Wednesday 13. He was also a guitarist for the 2nd incarnation of the Murderdolls, Gunfire 76 and Bourbon Crow all bands fronted by Wednesday 13.[1]

Career history

Roman's long standing partnership with Wednesday 13 started with him as a guitar-tech for his solo band. He first performed as a touring guitarist in Bourbon Crow, an Outlaw country side project Wednesday 13 had put together in 2006. He was assistant editor and music composer for a short video release by Wednesday 13 called "Weirdo A-Go-Go" in 2008.[2] In 2009 Wednesday put together another side project, a glam metal band called Gunfire 76 which released one album "Casualties and Tragedies" in October 2009 and did a one UK tour called "The First Blood Tour" in December 2009.

In 2010 Wednesday and Joey Jordison reformed the Murderdolls after an 8-year hiatus. Wednesday and Joey chose to continue the band with a different line-up and Roman was selected as Rhythm guitarist. He toured with the band until the 2nd breakup in 2011. He also recorded guitar tracks for their 2nd studio album Women and Children Last. After this breakup Wednesday continued with his solo band with Roman as lead guitarist. Roman first appeared on 2011's Calling All Corpses and has appeared on every Wednesday 13 release and tour since[3] except for Undead Unplugged though he was part of the Undead Unplugged tour.

He was co-credited with Wednesday 13 for 5 tracks on 2015's Monsters of the Universe: Come Out and Plague and had a complete writing credit for "Planet Eater: Interstellar 187" which is the first time a Wednesday 13 song was credited entirely to someone other than Wednesday (Not including covers and co-credits).
