Rooted is a made-for-TV Australian film based on the 1969 play by Alex Buzo.[2] It was produced for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and released in 1985.[1]

The film is described as a satire set in the 1960s about a public servant who progressively loses interest in his mundane life and his friends when he discovers his wife is having an affair with a local 'stud'.[1]
