Rubonia is an unincorporated community in Manatee County, Florida in the United States. The town was known for having a Mardi Gras annually until 2015.[1] Rubonia was founded in 1912 and subdivided. The small community recently has been considered to be added to the Community Development Block Grant a federal program that helps communities because of the poverty in the area.
