Ruth Reed Whitaker (December 13, 1936 – November 10, 2014) was an American politician.

Born in Blytheville, Arkansas, Whitaker graduated from Heber Springs High School and then went to Hendrix College. She lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas and then Cedarville, Arkansas. Whitaker served on the Cedarville City Council. From 2001 to 2013, Whitaker served in the Arkansas State Senate and was a Republican. Whitaker died in Fayetteville, Arkansas.[1][2]
