Ryno Eksteen (born (1994-10-03)3 October 1994 in Centurion) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with Template:Rut Western Province and the Template:Rut Stormers.[1] His regular position is fly-half or full-back.

Career

Eksteen represented the Template:Rut Blue Bulls in the 2010 Under-16 Grant Khomo Week competition and in the 2012 Under-18 Craven Week tournament, where he was top points scorer for the tournament and helped the Blue Bulls win the unofficial final against the Template:Rut Golden Lions.[2] His performance saw him called up to the 2012 South African Schools side[3] that played against France,[4] Wales[5] and England[6] in August 2012.

He joined the Template:Rut Western Province Rugby Institute for the 2013 season[2] – moving in the opposite direction to Western Province's Craven Week and fellow S.A. Schools fly-half Handré Pollard, who joined the Template:Rut Blue Bulls. However, a knee injury ruled him out of action for the 2013 season.[7]

Stormers

He was included in the pre-season training squad for the Template:Rut Stormers prior to the 2014 Super Rugby season[8] and also made the final Stormers squad.[9]

He made his Super Rugby debut in the opening match of the season, a 34–10 loss to the Template:Rut Lions.[10] Incredibly, he played Super Rugby without making any appearances in the South African domestic Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup competitions, or even playing at Under-21 or Under-19 level for Template:Rut Western Province.
