Sachini Ranasinghe (born 1994) is a Sri Lankan chess player who holds the title of Woman International Master (WIM, 2011). She is a four-time winner the Sri Lankan Women's Chess Championship (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013).

Biography

Chess began playing in the Anatoly Karpov chess club at the Russian Center in Sri Lanka.[1] Four times she won in the Sri Lanka Women's Chess Championships (2009, 2011, 2012, 2013).[2][3][4][5] In 2011, she won Asian Zonal Women's Chess Championship and won the right to participate in the Women's World Championship.[6] In 2012, in Khanty-Mansiysk made her debut at the Women's World Chess Championship, where in the first round lost Hou Yifan.[7]

Played for Sri Lanka at two Women's Chess Olympiads (2010, 2016)[8] and three Women's Asian Team Chess Championships (2008—2009, 2016).[9]
