Salem is a US-midwest band from Traverse City, composed of John Holland, Heather Marlatt, and Jack Donoghue [1][2]. The band's debut release, Yes I Smoke Crack, was released on Acéphale in summer 2008 - the EP, gaining fast popularity, sold out in pre-sales.[3] John Holland, partial producer and vocalist, began Salem as a solo project in early 2006, before recruiting Marlatt and Donoghue in 2007. In an interview with Butt Magazine, John stated that his band mates convinced him to make music.[4]
