Salvation Ministries is a pentecostal megachurch and a Christian denomination[1] founded by David Ibiyeomie in 1997. The headquarters is located in Port Harcourt City, Nigeria.

History

Salvation Ministries was founded on 13 April 1997 by Ibiyeomie with 34 members in attendance at plot 35 Birabi Street, GRA phase IV, Port Harcourt Nigeria.[2] There are five services every Sunday, with hundreds of thousands[3] in attendance at the headquarters and satellite churches worldwide.

Hour Of Salvation

In 2001, Ibiyeomie started a television program the Hour of Salvation on NTA channel 10 Port Harcourt with the maiden episode, Faith is Now. [4][5] Today, he preaches on that program in over 47 television stations[6] locally and internationally.[7]

Education

Salvation Ministries runs a Christian training college, the Word of Life Bible Institute[8] which began a few months after the inception of the church in 1997 with 23 students . Chokhmah International Academy is also linked to the church which began in 2012 and secondary in 2014[9].

Events

A major event in Salvation Ministries is its annual 5 Nights Of Glory (5NOG) Programme, which is held primarily at the beginning of each year.[10] The event[11] attracts a worldwide audience with millions of worshippers in attendance.[12]
