Samuel Denison "Sam" Martin (born February 7, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter and co-founder with his brother, Connor Martin[1][2] of the band Con Bro Chill and its lead singer.

Career

Early beginnings

Martin was born in New York City and raised in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He attended Lakeridge High School[3] and went to Berklee School of Music for 2 years.

2012–14: Breakthrough

Martin's songwriting credits include co-writing "Daylight" and "It Was Always You" by Maroon 5, and for being the contributing singer and co-writer on the song "Lovers on the Sun" by David Guetta and Avicii and Guetta's "Dangerous".[4] He also has writing credits on Guy Sebastian's single "Like a Drum"[5] and Ziggy Marley's song "Lighthouse."[6] On June 3, 2014, it was announced that Maroon 5 would be releasing their album V, which includes collaborations with Martin.[7]
