Sardis is an unincorporated community in Saline County, Arkansas, United States. It is part of the 'Little Rock-North Little Rock-AR Metropolitan Statistical Area'. It is located near Bauxite and East End.

Sardis has a country store, a United Methodist Church, fire department, and more. It is a rural area. It has quite a bit of land but most of it is trees. It is a good area for farming too.

Sardis is part of the Bryant Public School District.

The shoe tree

One of the trees is an old oak, which gained attention for the shoes that hikers and others have hung on it. The reason for this is unknown, but it dates back decades and has become a kind of landmark of the town.[1]

As of 6/14/2017 the shoes have all been removed from the Shoe T

After the county had an assessor look at the tree, it was determined that it was mostly dead and posed a hazard. Afraid that the tree might fall on someone's house, vehicle, or a person, the tree was removed. A memorial is currently being discussed.
