Sawgrass Lake is a lake in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is one of the lakes that form the St. Johns River. The lake is difficult to get to without the boat ramp on the west shore of the St. Johns River, located immediately on your left after you cross the river on U.S. Route 192. The size of the lake is less than 1,000 acres (4 km2) because of the low velocity of the river; it is located near its headwaters. It is only 4 miles (6.4 km) in diameter. The lake adjoins the Indian Fields. The lake is only 3 miles (4.8 km) upstream from Lake Washington, the county's largest lake.

Little Sawgrass Lake

Little Sawgrass Lake is a smaller version of the adjoining Sawgrass Lake It is less than 1,000 acres (4 km2) big, and the lake is almost 2 miles (3.2 km) in diameter. However, the lake westernmost point is slightly west of the bigger lake. Between those 2 lakes, they are only 0.1 miles (0.16 km) apart and part of the state's longest river, the St. Johns River. The lake is located at 28°04′30″N 80°46′41″W / 28.07500°N 80.77806°W / 28.07500; -80.77806.
